Pete Vance

Pete Vance’s passion for singing has taken him to many places, from performing at the Papua New Guinea Independence Ball 1976, and the Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relay Celebrations Brisbane 2000, to the World Expo in Japan 2005.  In 2007 he was chosen as Brisbane’s Senior Superstar at City Hall.

In 2008 Pete had his first singing lesson with Ingrid James and his love of jazz began. He now performs regularly at the Brisbane Jazz Club with Brass Roots Live big band, Alan Western’s ‘Men About Town’ ensemble and at Ingrid James monthly ‘Jazz Singers Jam Night’.

Pete Vance recorded his first jazz album ‘The Truth’ in 2011 and on the cover Ingrid wrote: “He can be laid-back and restrained in a cool and engaging way as well as punching out a soulful blues – but always with the strong sense of poignancy and compassion!”

Pete Vance is very honoured and proud to be patron of the Brisbane Vocal Jazz Festival 2018 and to be singing with the BVJ Fab Four.
