Paul Armstrong is a versatile trumpet player and singer, completely at home with Cuban, funk, jazz and pop music. He is both a reading session and pit player and a confident improviser, having studied with Don Ferrara and Bobby Shew. He is a two time Grammy Winner with Jesse & Joy and (2017), and has played in significant venues such as the 45,000-seat Wrigley Stadium, Carnegie Hall, Blue Note Club-NYC, Napa Symphonic Orchestra and New Orleans Jazz Festival. With Maynard Ferguson, he performed with King Bhumibol of Thailand and Michael Feinstein, and has supported Burt Bacharach, Phil Woods, Marvin Hamlisch, Diane Schuur, Jon Faddis, Kelly Clarkson, James Blunt, Charo, Lorna Luft, Jim Neighbors, Nestor Torres, and Pearl Kaufmann among others. He was co-founder of The Global Collective project with Ingrid James and Todd Harrison – Pangaea which was released by Newmarket Music and one of the top 5 sellers.
