A wonderful singer with an impressive range, rich warm tone, fine musicality and a thoroughly engaging character. Pearly is the kind of voice you could listen to for hours, as she pours her soul into the story-telling of any song she offers. From heart-rending ballad to playful up-swing blues to sunny bossa nova, every piece is an opportunity to bring the ensemble and the audience together.

Pearly’s longest musical collaboration has been with internationally renowned composer and multi-instrumentalist, John Rodgers, which began in Brisbane in 1990 with the creation of the theatrical rock band, Madam Bones Brothel. She has since featured in many of John’s commissioned works for  The Queensland Music Festival and his stunning score for  for Expressions Dance Company’s Helpmann Award winning “Where The Heart Is”.

In addition to these works, Pearly is known for her outstanding cabaret style in  “Women In Voice”, the Matilda Award winning cabaret, “Tom Waits For No Man”, as well as her soul singing in the much loved Tell Heaven All Star Gospel Revue. There is also her show “Chanteuse”, offering jazz standards, originals and thinking persons’ pop, accompanied by an outstanding piano quartet comprised of Aria winning Melbourne based musicians.

After releasing many cult classic albums with her various groups, in 2017 she released her debut solo album “Heart Axis” to rave reviews.

Pearly is also a much sought after voice teacher and vocal ensemble leader. She is currently
furthering her passion for this work through a master’s degree at the Qld Conservatorium.
