Be a part of this debut performance at the Brisbane Jazz Club with a musician whose career has overlapped with the likes of the Count Basie Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald, Liberace, Sarah Vaughan, Cleo Laine, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Dean Martin and Liberace. Vocal Workshop with THE IDEA OF NORTH
Get your vocal chords warmed up with The Idea of North in a singing workshop open to all ages and abilities. This multi ARIA award winning group will be focussing on harmony, blending as an ensemble, how to use different tonal colours as a group and singing some fun music! You won’t have to sing solo – there’s safety in numbers – so come on and give it a go. This is a really great outing for choir and vocal groups and also for anyone who wants to meet fellow harmony singers.

ANATS Workshop with Irene Bartlett
ANATS Qld and the Brisbane Vocal Jazz Festival invite you to an interactive workshop and Masterclass on the foundations of Jazz singing technique presented by Dr. Irene Bartlett, Australia’s leading exponent of contemporary and jazz vocal pedagogy. The workshop will combine discussion of vocal technique and practical application with regard to the Jazz style and will demonstrate teaching strategies through Masterclass. Acclaimed Jazz pianist and Queensland Conservatorium of Music lecturer, David Spicer, will accompany the workshop and Masterclass.
